My wife told me that I could go fishing in Patagonia (Chile) at Cinco Rios Lodge, https://www.cincorioslodge.com, in March 2026 to celebrate my 70th birthday. Unfortunately she can't come on the this trip because of work and other vacation plans in May.

The trip is hosted by the Fish Hawk fly shop here in Atlanta. The group total is 10, and at this time there are only 2 booked, me and Rob Rooks from the Fish Hawk. I'll attach photos below of the details that he sent me in an email, but I'll post a few of the pertinent points here.

  • Fishing program, The Best of Patagonia, https://www.cincorioslodge.com/best-of-patagonia
  • Dates: 7 nights/6 fishing days, March 7-14, 2026 (travel to Santiago, Chile on March 6), price $7,650.00
  • Optional Add -on, 3 additional days fishing at Lago General Carrera, additional price $4,375.00
The Atlanta folks will most likely take a direct Delta flight from Atlanta to Santiago which leaves on the evening of March 6, and arrives there the following morning. Around midday, we'll fly from Santiago to Balmaceda on LATAM Airlines, where we'll be met and transported to the lodge. I plan to fly on United Airlines because I have some miles and a credit. It has one stop in Houston before connecting with the flight from there to Santiago. That flight arrives about an hour after the Delta flight from Atlanta, but still with sufficient time to make the connection on the flight to Balmaceda.

Of course the spots are first come first serve. If you're interested either send me a message of post your email address here and I'll contact you. Keep in mind I'm just a messenger and the booking will be made directly with Rob Rooks, 404-237-3473, at the Fish Hawk, staff@thefishhawk.com, https://www.thefishhawk.com. By the way, I plan to include the extra three days at Lago Carrera.

Trip information received from Rob.
