Is it not cool that because of the stewardship of high fence ranch landowners, the Scimitar can be hunted in Texas?
Hunting and habitat loss drove them to extinction in their native lands. Due to the cooperative efforts of some Texas landowners and wildlife agencies they have been successfully reintroduced into their native lands and just recently were moved from the "Extinct" list to "Endangered" list.
Being able to have them in Texas, and thus giving folks the ability to affordably hunt them here, is a very fortunate thing.

Shot fired. Didn't get a shot on a long stalk, and on the way out saw the group. Jumped them and got a great first shot in the big one and a follow up shot. Letting him lay while we get breakfast. Don't think he's far and great blood. Pumped!

Update….we're patiently waiting and hoping it's not an armadillo.
