Here's the current cliff notes for SW Colorado

-vallecito creek had massive flooding (above Vallecito Reservoir). About 100 homes
Flooded. Flows spiked from 70 CFS to over 6,700 cfs!

-Pagosa Springs: Hwy 160 is closed. The Hot Springs appear to be underwater. Major detour around town. The San Juan River through town has crested at what could be the 3rd highest flow in recorded history.

-Wolf Creek Pass Closed! Mile markers 157-186 are closed.

-Animas River: River has come up to over 4,000 cfs but doesn't appear to be a major issue in the next 24 hours.

-CR 7 "Mineral Creek" is closed (west side of 550 just north of Silverton)

I love that area. Emerald Lake holds a special place in my heart.

Any issues going east towards south fork or fun valley?

I'm supposed to go visit Durango the last week of October. I hope everything has settled down there by then, was really hoping to fish, that's probably not gonna happen.

Wow, that is unreal amounts of water. Colorado streams and rivers at higher altitudes don't tend to have big flash floods all that often, but it does happen.

Relative from Durango reported minor flooding, but also said they've been in a drought, so……

It will be fine when you get here. We have another couple of days of of rain coming that hopefully are a little less than the previous storm. Let me know if you want to hit the San Juan while here!
