We are seeking an experienced third-party structural inspector to verify compliance of an in-progress metal building project located in Calvert, Texas with experience with pre-engineered metal buildings, welded and bolted steel connections, and reinforced concrete foundations.

Responsibilities include reviewing stamped engineering plans, inspecting critical phases (slab modifications/post pour, steel framing, joist bridging, and welds), and providing written reports with photographs documenting conformance to design specifications.

Preferred credentials include Texas PE (Structural or Civil), ICC Structural Steel/Welding Inspector, AWS CWI, or ACI Concrete Inspector certification, along with at least 5 years of field inspection experience.

This is a short-term contract with flexible scheduling over a few site visits. This is not a comprehensive inspection, but rather a few spot checks of the owner's concern - mainly with regards to structural joist bridging and welds on the mezzanine.

If you're not already familiar with them, I'd call either Terracon or Intertek PSI out of Houston. They can do all the work you're looking for.

CME out of college station is good as well as Gessner engineering . Terracon and PSI will be costly as they travel out of Houston or austin.
