I can't help, but I was considering getting a 2.7L in my next truck. Have you been happy with it ?

I've been happy with it but I also have a 3/4 ton for hauling equipment and cows etc. The 2.7 is perfect for running around town or bouncing through the pasture. The gas mileage has been pretty good whether in town or highway. With all of that said I'm about to trade this truck in and try one of the 3.0 Duramax's I think. I have 142k on it and have only had minor issues like a wheel bearing, the vacuum locking hubs and a few other small things.

I'm sitting in my wife's Tahoe (3.0L duramax) right now. We've been happy with this engine so far. 24,000 miles in. Averaging 23mpg
