Does anyone have any experience with these? I am considering buying one for some flats fishing.

Yup.

I'm on my 2nd one. It's a restored 13' that's rigged and used only as a canoe. What do you want to know?

Really just curious how your experience has been, how they hold up, if you'd recommend, etc.

I'd be using for inshore/flats fishing, mostly saltwater. Would probably attach a motor to mine though.

They're great little boats. Stable for their size. They're well built but typically chopper-gun glass and splatter paint interior. They're not going to have the fit & finish of a more expensive rig.

My first was a 15'4" NMZ that they now call an "LT10"- I had a 9.9hp Tohatsu tiller. Here's my first one. Sold it in 2015.

Keep it simple. Go with a 16' with front & rear decks and a 25hp tiller and you're in business. Basically like my old NMZ but a little bigger. But be mindful of conditions.

Here's my current one. It's a long story but a friend restored it for me as part of a trade. I don't have his skill.

I've had some friends that have owned them in the past, along with solo skiffs. Great for short runs into flats and as long as you're protected, it's fantastic. Will be want to be mindful of conditions and get out of dodge when the wind picks up if you're crossing any channels at all.

All of my friends loved sight casting and poling, sold their gheenoe and bought skiffs.

TLDR; could be a great entry level poling skiff as long as you're aware of its strengths and limitations.
