My parents have a very large pecan tree in their yard thats likely going to die. Its already had a thinning canopy and it drops limbs every few months. It takes 3 guys 6 ft tall to reach around the trunk and its full straight grain up to about 20 feet. I figured this would make a really nice slab if someone wanted to bring a saw mill big enough for it.

My question is: how much would this thing bring if someone were to come cut it and mill it? We were asking hopefully before it gets too much standing rot.

I know Agrams and other woodwookers know of some slab companies that might deal in this kind of work.

Any input is appreciated. I can get some more pictures if theyre needed.

No the green things that elevate above the ground.

More than likely you won't find interest for one tree.
Unless you have a sawmill in your county.
There are a lot of pecans in the state.

I literally had a sawmill cutting slabs for tables across the road from a large native pecan orchard I own. He was not interested, even in free trees, usually had more than enough on his log yard. He would drive a short distance for very large cedars.
