I live in the maroon colored part of the drought map. I'm not holding my breath. I think I have had 3 measurable rain events this year.

I'm going to have to take your word on that. I made it 20 seconds in and couldn't. That voice!!! Oh for the love of all things holy. That is like fingernails on a chalkboard.

Unless that's you, OP, then I've never heard a more angelic voice in my life.

Ground is so hard I don't think my seed drill will plant anything until after a rain-and I'm not gonna trust the forecast-I've been burned too many time before.

I am sure anything headed for the Bastrop area will split and go around us like it has every other time for the past 2 years or so. I am getting damn tired of sitting on the porch and watching it rain on Smithville and La Grange.

I broadcast two acres Saturday on a wing and a prayer that the 40% rain chance would materialize into something more. Everything except for the goatweed and the ragweed was dead. Sprayed glyphosate anyway.

The one advantage to throw and mow / spray method, only takes one good rain to get you going.
