So- I am on FoodSaver brand sealer #5. I usually get a new one every 2 years or so because we wear them out. I've had this guy twice-

and this guy twice-

I need the accessory attachment because we have a ton of FS brand accessories. What does the OB board suggest I buy next?

What part of them are you wearing out?

I have no rec for you. I have had the second one you show with no issues.

Foodsaver sells a handheld sealer that looks like it would be great for containers and accessories. Wouldn't use it on bags, although they make bags especially for it. It would free you up to buy any bag sealer if you want to get a different brand.

Chamber sealers are the way to go. Seems to me they pull a much better vacuum and empty the bag more completely.

We got a Cabelas CG15 probably close to 20 years ago, and it's still going strong. Works fast, not nearly as loud as the foodsaver we also have. CG stands for commercial grade, and it's been one of the best investments we ever got.

I have also been thru several countertop sealers of various brands and prices. The problem is none of them last.
I dont mind spending the money on a chamber sealer, but the question is do they last longer than the countertops? Responses are greatly appreciated

Damn, every 2 years? What the hell do you do that wears them out like that?

My food saver is going on 20 years now. Only thing I've replaced is the gasket a couple of times.

We have had this Weston for 5 years now. No issues other than having to replace the heat strip once. https://www.amazon.com/Weston-Pro-2300-Commercial-Stainless-65-0201/dp/B001GP81R2/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?crid=28QNRMFAZ8SP2&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.Rs35Lry1Q6zw-aJB8yNqeDQfeGzxHsxQ9oCwqIIbeQCdtrNROHZu-5_MPuZf6dseGXPaVV_JYJrfMyt28Lm6U9iOEuEmWGpuiCHpQ1Iyt5iQ_Saqyt8RPnHEfT9Fn5lUQ2qpTr-Y4t5DoHRYiQUWCbmNosQ-Wc7vTydgqkFK8Rrm1JM2n3hWXiZYSfDekTbKZqLn3_vS9QyseWDy9oiNLA.sQoHr2ioXgPfshn9kQ01iUoKji7DFXfmwpkXSOHh01M&dib_tag=se&keywords=weston+vacuum+sealer&qid=1761225827&sprefix=weston+%2Caps%2C242&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRm&psc=1

we use a sealer a lot. all leftovers, half eaten bags of lunchmeat etc etc, we also buy whole beef and pork loins and butcher into steaks/roasts, buy whole ribeyes etc.

A vac sealer and a box of 1 gallon bags allows us to value shop for everything and then butcher/portion it for us. FE 3 filets are 60-80 bucks, I can buy a whole beef tenderloin at Costco for 100-150 and get 20 1" steaks out of it

We use ours fairly regularly as well, it just keeps on going. Even when I'm processing deer or elk and use it extra heavy.

I've had a Food Saver "Game Saver Deluxe Plus" for nearly 10 years. I've had to take it apart and clean twice, and replaced the seals twice. Still going strong.

I've had one vacmaster for 5 years, is used regularly, and I've been so happy with it that I purchased a second one for the ranch. The air removal/seal is infinitely better than the food saver we had. I found a three year old bag of dove that had slipped behind some other stuff. Cooked it up and they were great.
Mine don't have an auxiliary hose , but you can even seal liquids in them. The bags are super cheap with lots of options.
They usually have good sales around thanksgiving.

Keep an eye out for big discounts on the Anova chamber vac. I got mine for 250-300 several years ago. Works great for small scale stuff, not heavy and doesn't take up much space. I'd highly recommend. If you need bigger/quicker/production I'd go with vac master.

Another vote for VacMaster . . . had mine 8-10yrs now. Do 1-2 bags for leftovers or couple hundred at time during processing time--rarely ever a problem with seal.
