We have one of those feeders at our ranch. All he has to do is wait on a squirrel to come by and there will be plenty of corn on the ground for him to nibble on. Squirrels empty the crap out of that feeder for us. I won't buy another one of those.

We changed out the spinner to a spring fed. Game changer.

We use the type of spinner plate that closes against the funnel with pressure on all our spin feeders. That, coupled with the varmint cage, stops all waste from the thieves.

Can you post a pic of what you put on there? I need to get one since we have a problem with that feeder going empty on us.

Should come with this IMO. Not sure why they don't put them on everything. I have heard some folks say that there are pin issues...which is an easy fix, but they have been really good to us.

Thanks! Hell yes it should come with it or they should send it to you for free since their other design sucked. Should be like a recall IMO.

ETA. Ordered it. Allseasons just got another $45 to make their feeder work properly.

We scuffed the outside with a scotchbrite pad and rubberize painted two of them. 3inch pvc going up legs for cows and pigs rubbing helps feeder stay clean and in place. Some of these tricks are useless when cattle are determined. But the rubberized coating makes the lid fit tight and no wasps get in after years of bending the lid.

We have some feeders that are 20 years old. A little work and the new spinner and they are magic again!

Replace the spinner with the eliminator plate and your problem is solved. I had the same problem with birds but no more.

That is mostly what I have. I would choose those over ASF for sure. The other problem with that feeder posted is the pigs will wallow the crap out of the dirt around the feeder when it's wet. I prefer the directional feeders.

Yes sir. Over the 29 years we tried literally every feeder brand for the ranch. Sweeney was one of the best for a long time. We had14 of them and hardly an issue but not enough capacity and filling them constantly.
One of the more popular brands always pushed on TA was one of the worst we had……rusting out and leaking after a couple of years.
Ended up settling on Texas Wildlife Supply. They are extra heavy duty and stand up to Elk, Hogs, Aoudads etc.
Had some that were over 7 years old and not one issue. ….our feeders use to literally run 24/7/365 with protein pellet use….which, due to the minerals and salts, will rust most feeders out in two three years.
They proved very good for us and the company was super to work with.

As an ASF dealer, I wish they would include Eliminator on all their feeders . . . any order I place I have eliminator added to all feeders I sell--especially in Rolling Plains that is a necessity. I've sold ASF since 1997 and Texas Wildlife Supply since around '06. Both great family owned businesses that are good to work with.

All of my All-Seasons came with that plate already. The same plates are on my road feeders to. Weird. Maybe they ran out of the crappy plates the day they built mine but I have 14 of them purchased in two groups.

Same, but chicken wire wrap works to keep the squirrels and coons away.

It's funny that as many aoudad as we have, I've only had 1 feeder truly damaged/destroyed by aoudad and it was an old tripod barrel feeder they just kept knocking over. I keep waiting for them to destroy another one but we've been pretty lucky so far. They have dented a few down spouts on protein feeders though.

Now feral goats… I have them on camera knocking over protein feeders and busting the sides out of a trough protein feeder with their hooves. Freaking jerks

Yes sir. Some time way back we had a lease down by Sabinal. The landowner raised large show goats. (Don't remember what he called them). They were big things that could jump 5-6 fences.
Friend of mine leases a place now next door to that old place and he was telling me how some of those goats are now basically wild and how destructive they are. Had no idea.

We have probably 7-8 generations of wild goats on our place. Landowner tried rounding them up with dogs once but they didn't work at all which is odd for goats and also for his dogs.

I have no idea how they continue to survive but there probably aren't more than 15-20 right now. They escaped from neighbors place about 20-25 years ago. We have seen some cool Catalina/Ibex crosses with them (Y.O. ibex).

I took a screenshot of one of the videos of them knocking my feeder:

Probably from your corn / protein buffet.
