I know we've discussed this before. I've got house WiFi at the front gate. Need security camera there, battery powered that our out of town phone can receive pictures without paying for a Subscription . Any possibilities? Any suggestions?

I have both Arlo and Nest cameras on solar panels and they work fine. The monthly fee for getting to watch them live and get 24/7 notifications is pretty minimal.

I got some cheap ones off Amazon named FEMII. Work great.

I'll always suggest unifi.
But there is a larger initial expense, more labor intense setup, and learning curve. But damn they are robust. And no lasting subscription.

Checkout Eufy, they have 4k solar cameras fairly affordable that do not require a subscription. I have 4 at my house and they have served me well. I have only had to charge one of the cameras once because I have it on the eave of my garage that gets little sun during the winter.

Swann cameras (2), have worked well for us.
MaxRange 4k Solar version.

Bought thru Sam's, lots of other vendors.
