I bought my truck (2019 Ford) in 2021...a few weeks ago I went to open my bed cover and it wouldnt roll back up. It has never self retracted real well but recently it had stopped doing it but would still roll up if I pushed it back...but now nothing

Has nayone had this issue? A google search says it might be a brocken spring in the bar that its supposed to roll up around. I saw a video of how to replace that but Im leary to buy that new piece and it not solve the problem

Had a roll in lock bed cover on my truck a few years ago. At first it was good, however after a year or so it was nothing but problems like you described. In addition the paint came off of mine. Will never buy another product from them and will advise everyone to run from their products like the plague. Terrible customer service.

When mine sticks I clean the rails and lube everything up. If that doesn't fix it I check the rail alignment. I have had a couple of times where something heavy falls against a rail and bumps it out of whack a little.

Other than that mine has been rock solid for almost ten years.

Mine would roll back about 18" and then would buckle because there was no space in the box and the top was no longer spooling around. I was able to manually roll it up so I have full access to the bed but that was done by hand.

This just happened to me recently. The warranty period is 3 years and I was at 2.5. They replaced the entire cover at no charge even though the diagnosis was a broken spring.
