I decided to get a spinning rod to see if they would live up to the hype.

Rod arrived broken in 3 pieces. From looking at their site, it looks like I needed to buy a warranty for $60, and they would send a replacement in 10 to 14 days. Spent the money and, a month later, have not seen the replacement, or had any contact with them. I have been on hold with their automated call system for 30 plus minutes.

Any of y'all had better service results with these guys.

I have had to do some Outdoors Writers conferences with their factory reps. They always seemed first class and a really good company. I know a couple of pros that are sponsored by them.

Sorry to hear about your experience. I've delt with them before and had a great experience. I did a trade on a broken rod of mine and didn't pay a dime. If I remember right, I did wait a while on the phone but the guy I talked to was first class. Here's to hoping they figure it out for you.

Surely you did not have to pay anything for their improper packaging or what should have been a shipping insurance claim on their end? If it arrived broke, how would that be your fault?
