We have a lot of campfires in our back yard and I'm looking for a good set of tongs for working/rearranging the logs as they burn.

Ideally something sturdy that's BIFL quality. Don't mind if the handles are wood to make them lighter and replaceable. I guess the working part of the tongs would be steel or titanium?

Not sure what's good out there anymore. Found some at Walmart and Home Depot that were just stamped crap that seemed like they'd collapse as soon as you used them.

What brand do you like? What have you seen that's good?

Scroll down to the fire tongs. I've ordered two sets over the years for gifts. They're top notch. Give him a few weeks for turnaround. The price was super reasonable considering they're hand forged - $120 or so. They'll last forever.

I have, and I've used the welding gloves that cover your arms, and I currently have a pitch fork that works okay.
