I know there will be some very expensive horses hitting the road from Texas to Nevada in a couple of weeks.
I was wondering if any competitors might be tempted to leave their primary horse at home this year and compete on a backup. Accept a lower level of performance in exchange for leaving their star horse safe at home.

It sounds like a nightmare for the stock contractors also.
