So I just bought a shipping container for the house, Wife wanted the garage for her stuff and I need something for Farm storage etc. I plan on building a lean to off of it but that's another question for another day. What do yall do for the inside? Looked at framing it out with an exhaust fan, but then saw you can run a minisplit off of solar on them (for a cost). No one is going to be living in it just farm shop/storage. pictures and ideas welcome TIA!
I live in waco....therefore, I am ready to move elsewhere.

I would definitely put some type of climate control if your putting things in there you don't want wet, we had one w out air controls and it made everything damp and musty. Ruined some nice stuff we stored in it

The next one I bought came with really nice metal shelving and we added a 8009 btu 110 volt window unit and it worked great. They are aluminum so it cuts easy with a sawsall for install. Don't think we had any other ventilation on it though

We have one at the lease that we converted to a bunkhouse. We framed out an interior wall about 1/3 of the way from the front so we could use the front section for storage and the remaining 2/3 for bunks.

We sprayed the bunk area with spray foam insulation and wired it to run off a generator. It still gets some condensation on the inside but it's worked out nicely.

Whatever you do set it off the ground when it's delivered because it's doable but it's kind of a PITA to jack it up and raise it after the fact.

Mine has vents and I positioned it on blocks. Keeping it off the ground relives that dampness problem since it will get air under the container. Ive have mine for 5 years and no issues.

Super cheap way to light it:

Get shop lights like these https://a.co/d/cbhGeOM

Link them. Hang them from ceiling of container with magnetic hooks.

ive seen vent fans, enough to at least circulate the air through out the unit. unless I use solar, It won't have a/c
