I have an old pair of costas I need to replace and now that they've sold out looking at other brand options. I've read some good reviews of Bajios. Anyone here have 1st hand knowledge?

Yes, I've had a pair for a couple of years now. I like them more than my Costas.
Some of the Costa folks started the company I believe.
We'll after my time on the biz but only heard good things

I have a pair. They're good but they're about the same price as Costas and I don't think they're the same quality as my Costas. That being said, I think all of my Costas are from before their buyout by Luxxotica.
I like them a lot. Turned 50 and it seems my eyesight went down the drain. All of my Costas seemed to dark. Bajio has some lighter colors that I like a lot! It seems my eyes relax more and even wearing sunglasses everything is brighter and clearer.
Im a full time fishing guide on the Texas Coast so I live in my sunglasses. Bajio have been my number one go to for over a year now. I have one pair in the rose color and another pair in their violet color. Those are to two colors that let the most light thru and they are perfect for me. Now I can see into the dark shaded bait tank without having to take my glasses off.

Just buy them and enjoy! If they are daily wear and not for fishing, who cares. Get them. If they are for fishing, always good to have more ammo on the water. My guide in the Keys wears them. He puts me on fish. If I didn't have a bunch of smiths and costas already I'd give them a try.

I tried to switch. Didn't like the lens colors. No direct comparison to Costa lens colors. If you like green mirror Costa, they don't have anything like it. I returned Bajio, Smith, RayBan, ShadyRays, and Maui Jims, then bought new Costas in a new but similar frame style.
Bajio's are old school Costa's, I'm talking about early 90's Costa. I have been wearing Costa's since the early 1990's and have noticed the quality go down with Costa, even before they sold out, but still nothing compared to them. Last summer I needed a new pair so under advisement of a local shop I tried them and WoW! Side x Side Comparison of the glass, Costa 580 vs Bajio Glass, you can't tell the difference. Also since the frames of the Bajio's are MUCH lighter than any Costa's I have ever owned, they are partially made of Coconut husks and claim that they are stronger than plastic.

I'm on my 2nd pair. First pair I went with glass lenses. Dropped them on a tile floor and cracked a lens and got it replaced no problem. Nose piece cracked on that pair as well and they fixed it under warranty. However, the frames eventually broke (I'm really hard on glasses, wear them daily and on the water a lot). Sent in a warranty request and they denied it but offered to fix it for $90 or I could take 50% off a new pair. I took the 50% and got a new set. Went with the poly lenses this time - much lighter and I've liked them alot so far.
I switched after a good 15 years of Costa, NO REGRETS! You will enjoy them!

I bought a pair a couple months ago. I like them. I have a lot of other kinds and these are right up there with all the others
I have a pair of Bajio Vegas and they are great. My Smith Guides Choice are my favorite for fishing due to the integrated retainer. MJ, Bajio, and Smith are all better than Costa IMO. Find the frames you like best and go with any of those 3. Honestly, my favorites change with the conditions but if I had to pick one, I would probably choose Maui Jim.
