Grand Daddy's Pre 64 M12 is giving me light primer strikes and no joy. My searches haven't given me good answers.

Can anyone direct me to firing pin dimensions?

Maybe it isn't firing pin and a hammer spring or something else?

It was intermittent, but I had it out today and while it did fire a few times, it turned from intermittent failure to intermittent fire.

Recently, I did a deep take down and deep clean.

TIA

My dad was given an older model 12 and had similar issues. He cleaned it good… especially the firing pin channel… no help. Pin was not broken or bent. He took it to Nagels Gun Shop in SA. and gunsmith said it was due to headspace from bolt being low caused by worn parts. But I don't remember what parts. Whatever he did fixed it though.

Could be the problem. It runs so smooth, something may be worn.

Love the gun. Smoothest slide action I've ever owned. Even has a Poly Choke! Had it out today for a charity shoot. Love taking it out and whipping dudes w/ their fancy O/U's. I knew it could be a problem and brought my A390 for back up.

Guess I'm headed to Briley...

Hell yea on whipping the fancy O/U's. My dads got stolen out of his truck while we were eating at a restaurant after dove hunting in Devine. Thieves got it and my old 870.
I had hoped some day it might have been mine. Action felt like silk like you say. Hope you get her fixed!
