Went to run a couple arrows this morning and couldn't group within 8" at 50 yds. Examined limbs and found this. Supposed to leave for Arizona in 20 hours, just had these installed 2 weeks ago. Not sure what my options are at this point

My pse jet flight from 1986 is in my garage but still shoots fine in case you'd like to borrow it.

this is why i will not be "upgrading" to any of the Mathews with quad limbs. I'll keep my Mathews V3 31 for as long as Mathews keeps insisting on that that terrible design.

Very few problems out there that can't be fixed, at least temporarily, by throwing money at it.
Get online and buy a new bow in San Antonio and pick it up on your way. Pay them extra to set it up the way you like and shoot it a couple times. You show up, verify with a couple shots and haul ass west. Problem solved.

head to the bow shop you got them at and tell them your situation. I am sure there is a way they can send you on your trip with a working bow.
You still use STX? I'm sure they'll make it right
I never used STX. I go to west Houston. They will make it right. Issue is it's not as simple as "sight in at 20 and you're good". I can't get there till 4 today, and it will be way too dark to shoot out to 60 and get my tape dialed when I get home.BCO07 said:

I TRUST Hoyt! Not the fastest, lightest or most innovative (tuning) but they are absolutely rock solid! The RX-9 is the best bow I've shot.

You can always just plan on losing a half day out there to get acquainted with a new bow. That's what I would do.
Had a similar thing happen in the past couple days before big trip. Had to buy new bow and get setup. Didn't have time for repair parts to ship.
Other than purchasing borrow a bow.
Alright. Got another set of limbs and got back to the speed I was at. I should be good to go. Shot 20 & 30 yds and was dead on. Still not ideal, as I'd like to shoot at distance to confirm but I will when we get to ranch.

The Texas Archery homers on here may not agree with me but west Houston has always taken REALLY good care of me. Second time in 3 weeks I've had this issue, both times the day before I was leaving to go hunt. Last time they stayed an hour past closing to get my limbs put on
For someone that has never owned a bow or bow hunted, what was the issue?
Bring an atlatl as a backup just in case.

The limb (part that connects to the cam and absorbs all the bows energy the arrow doesn't) cracked

Regarding west Houston - I've only had one bad experience there with them and that was just a young knuckle head that didn't know what he was doing tying my peep sight in. Everything else there has been good.

There's a 20 year old switchback in my office if you need it. Strings are newish. Lefty 29.5".
