Can anyone make a good recommendation on a taxidermist that can take a bunch of photos and measurements and make a great looking replica bass mount? Thank you for any advice.

Yes. Lake Fork Taxidermy/FishReplicas.com are the best. It is who I used when I was guiding at Lake Fork for nearly 30 years. They did most of the display fish replicas
at Bass Pro Shops Wonders of Wildlife, Texas Sharelunker Program and all of the Salmon replicas that are in every Raising Caine's.

Sadly Jason Pierce passed away in March. He was my friend and was married to my cousin. His brother Clayton and his wife are keeping the business going strong without him.

Joy Roman Taxidermy out of San Antonio did mine about 12ish years ago and it still looks great. They don't really advertise anywhere that I can see. They used to do Facebook back in the day.

You are probably correct that the fish is between 7 and 8 lbs. Congrats to him!
