Went to HEB in Brenham; Ribeye and Rib Roast were on sale, about 50% off (half price). I believe the Rib Roast was $7.57 per pound, bone-in.

Does not have the prime sticker on it, but if you dig through the packages, you can find one that is has the marbling to make it very close to prime. One of the butchers told me that due to the volume being sold the prime and select are mixed and not labeled.

Forgot to add there is a limit of one per customer. However, if you are with your wife or kids. Just have them buy one. You can also purchase, walk outside put item in your car, come back inside and buy another. I like to stock up at these prices on meat.

I'm tried to go to the HEB in Brenham yesterday and cars were lined up trying to get in on the frontage road.

I went to Brooshire Bros in Caldwell. What a let down

The one in Kingwood has select and prime out in their coolers. Picked up a select on Friday and yesterday, and may go grab another tonight so I can have a couple to vacuum seal and throw in the freezer.

No, my DIL makes the most amazing Cajun Mac & cheese. Mashed potatoes and grilled mushrooms. Bacon wrapped asparagus.
