Affordable Bow Blind?

I have a spot with an elevated tower blind that needs to be rebuilt. The metal frame is good, but the wood needs redoing. I'll get on that this spring.

There is a feeder on the hill with that blind that has gotten somewhat overgrown, and the cedars behind it have gotten very thick. It is now one of the more popular feeders we have.

There is a great approach and spot for a bow/blackpowder blind. I know that I can just brush up a ground blind, or build a custom one out of wood. I could also throw a small tripod in there with one of those canvas covers, and that might be what I end up doing. I would prefer not to replace the skin material every season though. I would love something that is more permanent and better on scent control (since it would be close quarters).

I was wondering if anyone makes an semi-affordable elevated blind for bows? I'm not exactly sure what affordable is- Sub $1000 would be good, but that might not be realistic.

Any real life experience would be great.

I hunted on a place one weekend that had a bunch of 4'-6' platforms for pop up blinds. It was pretty cool.
I love hunting out of my popup with shoot thru windows.

I have an elevated stand (6' x 6' platform) that I built. I put a Redneck Blinds Soft Side 360 Burlap Deluxe 6X6 Ground Blind on it. It has a metal frame which I bolted to the platform. I've had it out for 3 years and it is almost like new. Once it starts to wear, they sell a replacement cover. It looks like they are selling them for $540. I've been pretty impressed with it so far. Hope this gives you at least one option!

We build platforms for all our ground blinds. There are also numerous metal platforms you can buy that are designed for Ameristep ground blinds.

We have three of these cage blinds that are left up year round. Two of them are 3 years old and look the same as when they were new. $1299 for blind and 8' tower with a 5 year warranty. 5% discount for military.

Thanks for all the replies, guys! Sincerely appreciate it!

On the canvas or thicker walled ground blinds (not the thin material I am used to)- those seem to last for a few years in y'all's experience? Are they loud in the wind at all?

Dang, that looks like a great option! Thanks so much. Are they super hot? Or just like a normal blind?

Well they are black but the roof is vented and cracking open some windows keeps air moving. Also I don't do math but the physics say that they suck themselves to the ground and you don't need to tie down. I had chased many popups that got blown away even with some tie downs.

Interesting. I like the set it and forget it, no maintenance aspect.

We've built some bow blinds out of 6' cattle panel. 5'x8' and '' tall rectangle. You can build a platform or cut the bottom wire off and stick the 4' ends in the ground….tin roof. (I've put mulch down in the inside). Line the inside with very heavy gauge black plastics then spray paint it. Will last 5-6 years and then you have to redo the plastic.

My best bow blinds have been old satellite dishes, the big ones, set on 8 T-posts and 6-8 inch square fencing around the posts. Put cheap harbor freight tarps on the dish and around the demo. Cut out as many windows as you want. Replace the tarps every year or two. I actually found several trampolines that were dumped and put them over the tarp on top of the dish to keep the wind from rattling the tarp. Used cheap Home Depot green/brown cord around the outside to also keep the tarps from rattling as well. Put down some foam padding that's used under carpets for the floor and you're set to go! Cheap set up.
