What size mason drill bit is recommended for using a 1/2"x4" screw in (tapcon-like) anchor into a cinder block wall?

Per Tapcon's website, use 1/2" drill bit for a 1/2" anchor. Drill the hole 1/2" deeper than the fastener will penetrate.
