looking at different online options for prescription sunglasses specifically for golf…. Anyone have experience with Reks? I'm out on the $500+ options offered by my optometrist. Vision insurance goes away with retirement.

Or, any other suggestions?

I have ordered several pairs through SportRx (mostly Costa and Oakley) and have been very happy with them. If you go with the name brands, they can be pretty expensive. But if you go with the SportRx frames and lenses, you can get very similar quality for a pretty affordable price. They frequently have sales or special deals, like BOGO, etc. so keep your eye out for those. My wife and I each got a pair of Rx sunglasses a while back and with a BOGO50% off deal, they were ~$300 each for 2 pairs of Rx Costas.

I have Smiths and Bajio Rx sunglasses. I like both. I use the Bajio vega sunglasses for fly fishing and the Smiths for everyday wear.

I have been very happy with Warby Parker sunglasses and they are on the cheaper end. I have had mine for 8+ years, and they are still in great shape.

I love my Costas, like wearing nothing at all. I'm going to double up the same frames for my inside glasses next go around.

I have Bajio with readers and I have prescritption polarized from Zenni. Depending on activity they each work great.

I've had good luck with online at Zenni. Their online glasses try on tool is pretty accurate as long as you set the pupil distance.
