My k02 tread is beginning to separate. Date mark is 1822 and have a good amount of tread left. Truck is an 18 f150 4x4 with 72k. I bought it at 51k. Pretty surprised to find when I aired up a few psi this morning at the house from the cold air.

What tires are y'all running for about 70/20/5 hiway/farm -ranch/ beach use?

Toyo Open Country AT is what I use. I used to have BFG ATs, Cooper discover ATs and Pro Comp Extreme AT which aren't made anymore. I've liked the Toyos the best

I've run nitto recon grappler and just put on terra grappler g3 on a tundra. The recon's got me about 58k miles. Good tire but not great in snow or rain. The Terra grappler is snow rated. I'm only 5000 miles into the Terra grappler but I feel it's an all around higher performance tire than the recon. I got the 4 ply model since I was trying to keep the tire/rim weight down. 10 ply tires get heavy.

Thanks!

I should also mention I pull a bumper pull travel trailer at least 1 a month over 150 miles.

This is what I have put on 4 trucks now, F350s, very pleased with the results.

Are you sure it's separating and not dry rotting? Separation, especially in the tread of the tire, is not something to casual overlook… it's replace your tire right now type of deal.

what size are you currently running? If you're running OEM plenty of standard load and even C/D options in those sizes. Once you go up slightly, almost everything becomes an E, especially if you're running a factory 20" wheel.

I've got KO3's on my 4Runner and Falken Wildpeak's on my Transit camper van. Both rigs for on/off-road use. Replaced the KO2's with the 3's.

The 3's seem much better than the 2's. The Falken Wildpeak's and the KO3's appear to be equal in my experience.

I replaced Nitto Terra Graplers with Falken Wildpeak AT3 on my F-150 and the wet weather traction is night and day better with the Wildpeaks. Traction on gravel roads, dirt, and mud are also a little better but not huge. I've also run KO2's and recon grapplers in the past on Dodge 2500 diesels and these are all around my favorite tire to date although those are definitely not apple to apple comparisons.

You may want to cross post on the auto board because you might get some good recs over there

I'd say my driving is pretty similar to yours. Check out the Michelin LTX tires, they are less AT than you may think you need but they work great for me. My 3/4 ton ranch truck that spends 95% of its miles on the ranch and the other 5% running into Alice or Kingsville has had LTX tires for 8 years with zero problems. My DD F250 has 193k miles and is on its third set of Michelins, I averaged about 72k out of the previous two sets and my truck spends a fair amount of time on the ranch and Port A beach.

I really like the Maxxis Razr AT on my Tacoma. Solid on road and off road performance.

I'm on my 6th set of Toyo Open Countries. ATs, MTs, and currently on an RT Trail. So they get my vote.

That said, I see a lot of people recommending the Falken AT4W. Even over the Toyo.

I've run both the Toyo OPEN Country ATs, and Yokohama Geolander ATs. THey are both great tires.
