I have a place near burnet with a large amount of cedar on it. The cedar pretty mature and straight for the most part…not bushy. Pretty unique tree characteristics.

Anyone connected with an outfit that will clear for posts?

There used to be a place between Fredericksburg and Llano on Hwy 16 that advertised he would cut and buy cedar for post. He was on the west side of 16 as you headed north. Been a while since I've been there though.
Might page Brazos Dog he might know someone.

I need a couple hundred. You got wire as well? I'm in Kingsland.

I actually swung by there in person this past week. I explained that I had some cedars that would are perfect for cedar posts and asked if Myers or anyone they knew were looking for a place to cut cedar logs. I was told they weren't interested in cedar trees and they knew of no one interested in cedar trees.

After casting a skeptical eye around a place that just sells cedar, I changed my approach a little. Explained that I had 400 acres nearby with cedars I need cleared. But, I'm not in here talking to you about those cedars because most of them are bushy and have no value to you. I'm in here talking about 25-30 acres of pretty perfect cedar with easy highway access...im not in here trolling you to clear bushy cedars for free. He finally took my number down, but not confident it will go anywhere.

That is disappointing. I figured for sure they would at least know someone who could do it.

There's yard on 290 around the Johnson City Limits as you're going twords Fredericksburg.

The cedar yard in Johnson City is Haynes Cedar Company. Not sure how far they will travel.
