We have a similar program where I live in Virginia, but the shooters are all law enforcement. We also have urban bow hunting which is open to the public if you can qualify and get drawn in the lottery.

Bow hunting in a park less than two miles from my house is pretty sweet!

Gitmo has a designated banana rat sharpshooter. No other personally owned firearms allowed on base.

When I was deployed there in 93/94 the refugees in our camp made homemade crossbows outfitted with something similar to a fishing arrow & string. They shot the banana rats through the C wire and pulled them back through. Cooked them on campfires.

Vortex Nation Podcast had a guy on one time that did this outside of DC. He arrowed a deer once that ran further than he should have and ended up in Antonio Scalia's yard. Initially The secret service wouldn't let him get it but Scalia came out and talked to him and was all about it.

Cool deer. I would mount that ****er even if he was a spike.
