Howdy, TexAgs! Gabe Bock here and I've got a story for ya, Ags...
I've been working with a couple of good Ags and native Texans who have been out in San Diego for while. They've decided that it was time to make their way back to Aggieland and I'm thrilled that we were able to help them find a beautiful home that will be completed later this spring.
The husband, James, put together a spreadsheet with lots of homes that he and his wife, Annette, wanted to see when they came in town. And his most important column on that document was "MTC" ... Minutes to The Chicken."
James literally went on Google Maps and plugged in every single address and determined how far away each home was from The Dixie Chicken, and that absolutely was one of the very real factors that played a role in he and Annette's decision on which home they wanted to purchase.
I thought it was brilliant and about as maroon blooded of a move as I've seen from a client in my five-year Real Estate career. And you better believe I'm going to start utilizing this metric when helping clients break a tie between, say, two great opportunities.
