Thinking of pulling the bay boat out for a day or 2 next week to take my 12yo daughter to hang some hybrids or whites while she's on spring break. Somerville is pretty close, anyone have any accurate recent Intel? TWDP reports are notoriously inaccurate. TIA

I've had past success there in March trolling windblown points and sandy banks with Shap Raps, Rattletraps and Little Georges. Even anchored the boat in waist deep, got out and waded and caught a bunch.

Yeah I have historically had success there in March as well, just wondering if anyone on the OB had fished it recently

Thinking about going myself next week

I know it is about 3 feet low right now but I suspect it will come up by Tuesday after this next rain event

Careful if you are launching out of nails creek. It's pretty hard to get a v hull in and out right now.

yeah we'll most likely put in at overlook, I would doubt there is enough h2o to put in at the back of the lake right now.

My family camps at Somerville every Spring Break. Last year they caught 200+ whites. They're headed up there this weekend and can give a report when I go up there Sunday.

Lake is almost 3.5ft below pool. Several boat ramps are no useable. You should be able to get in at the marina. West end of the lake is extremely shallow currently, as well as most coves like apache and up near the dam. Be careful and watch from hazards that are normally well below the surface. Rock and props do not go well together.
