Dewalt String Trimmer Issue

How long do you want to ignore this user?

Anyone have a DeWalt string trimmer and had issues with it shutting down? I think it's overheating as the shaft and head get really hot about 5 minutes into it and it shuts down. I have made sure the string is correct, the vent holes are clear, etc…

Yep. Mine did the same thing. Tried multiple batteries but just gave up on it. Bought an Ego this year. So far so good but who knows.

I think it is just a bad design. I had one burn up the first time I used it. Returned it and bought an Echo.

Yes, with my first one. I called customer service and they sent me a new one.

Pull the entire string head off. Mine did the same and I had some yarn tangled up behind the head. There are videos on YouTube that show how you pull the head off and it's really simple.
