I use Wolf Creek at Rock Prairie. They have always did a good job. Went last week however with my own oil and filter like I usually do - $55. Upped their price big time. Seems harsh. Looking for a new place now so following this thread.
I've had a good experience with the (relatively new) Express Oil Change on Wellborn. Seem like good people and when I had a coolant light come on I took it in there. I had recently had the system flushed and refilled and they said sometimes when you do that and then drive for a bit the levels will drop a little, so they topped it off and didn't even charge me for it.
Hard to explain but when I've gone there I've gotten the vibe that they're hard working and want to do a good job versus some other places where when you pull in it almost seems like you're inconveniencing them by trying to bring them business.

That place across from Frankie's gas station and cata-corner to Walmart in CS. The dude that runs that place is top notch. Think it's Midas.
We usually go to Sevciks if we are in CS. Otherwise we go to the Mobil1 Lube Express on William J Bryan- I really like them!
I just go to the dealer with a coupon they have on their website.
Unfortunately, Sevcik no longer does quick in-out oil changes. Oil change treated like any other mechanical appointment.

Walmart type of places will make you cry when your realize they did not put the drain plug back in place.

They will also put your drain plug in and crank on it like The Hulk, which is completely unnecessary.

Express Oil Change on Wellborn - Hands down THE BEST oil change place I have ever visited... and I have visited many all around the country.
Many, if not all, of the crew are veterans or sons of veterans. They run a tight ship and REALLY take care of you. The Chief runs the show like a carrier flight deck - which he actually did for a living.

I don't think so, but maybe they got enough feedback and changed their mind. Which would be good from my perspective.

When did they change? I know they tried that when new ownership took over, but quickly changed back. And I was there about a month ago for a quick change.
Might have to check them out, but don't see any prices on their website...can you share what you paid for your last oil change (and what type of oil service it was...i.e. dino, synth-blend, or full-synth)? TIA!Uncle Bug said:

I can 2nd and my wife would 3rd this. These guys are the best by far in the area. Super nice and thorough.

I just tried this place out. Friday afternoon at 2:00 - but it was packed, and a couple employees were at lunch. There was one person working up top and one below (I'm guessing) and it took me 30 minutes to get into a bay. About 20 minutes after I got there, two employees got back from lunch and the pace picked up. Once I was hood up, I was out in twelve minutes - not bad. I paid $99 for a synthetic oil change (I think the synthetic upgrade was $30) which included the first five quarts, plus a little extra for the extra 1.7Q of oil my car took. They topped of wiper fluid, did a safety check and checked my tire pressure for me.
I'll be back but will be smart enough to go at 10:00am on a weekday. All the employees were super nice and efficient.
If this is on your green Toyota SUV, I'll do it for $75 next time.

Northeast corner of Texas and SW Pkwy. Those guys are amazing. All "brothers" working there when I've gone. Those are the politest guys. Yes, sir…no, sir. They look out for you. I knew I was having a bit of a problem with my A/C. Come to find out the dealership didn't have the correct size filter, so they stuffed a larger on in there and couldn't get any airflow. The "brothers" corrected the problem.

They wanted to charge me $800 to change my battery on my 2021 Nissan because of "where it was located". I had to have my car towed and it was the closest place. I called the dealership and they were going to charge me $375. THE DEALERSHIP!! I called them back and told them to jump my battery and I'd take it there. They called me back and said they'd match the dealership price, plus the "diagnostic" fee. LOL which AAA already told me what was wrong. All while they have a Bible sitting on their table.

Don't end with some type of mini-disaster. Spend the money on a real oil-change so your car doesn't get ruined.
Oil type is very specific and you usually need to bring it with you to the oil change place. Bring your own filter as well. Make sure the filter is for synthetic oil IF that is what you are using.

We are about to have them do work on our truck. The guy is super knowledgeable and has incredibly reasonable prices.
I really like Take 5. I use the one on Briarcrest.

Not at all! In fact I was there this morning for an oil change. They did a great job and even sent someone to go get a special oil my truck needed due to the GM 6.2 recall. I cannot say enough good things about Pat and the crew at Sevcik's.
