Professor Hilaire Kallendorf died today from an incident with a C.S. garbage truck. A sad day for those who knew her. Local news organizations, KBTX and etc., have posts providing the (scant) details.

Some will remember that in 2016 a C.S. garbage truck operating in the historic district struck and killed a TAMU student riding a bicycle. In that event, the KBTX story says the truck backed up and ran her over. Another sad day for family and friends of the deceased.

I wonder if it was the truck that services my area. They didn't pick up today…our usual day.

I ready the KBTX story mentioning it occurred in Lake Walk at Traditions. I'm not familiar with Lake Walk but I know Traditions, so I was surprised it was a CS garbage truck and CSPD responding rather than Bryan. I guess this was just over the city limits?

It occurred at an apartment complex (named Lake Walk at Traditions) on Atlas Pear Drive and is within the CS city limits.

I knew the husband who passed away last year. Just awful.
