If you didn't buy the hat from them? I inherited a nice beaver hat but it's in desperate need of a good cleaning and reshaping. It was custom made by Capital Hatters in Stephenville.

Yes, they do. They will do full restorations.
I'm pretty sure they changed their policy a few years ago and will now only reshape hats purchased there.
But I could be mis-remembering. I would give them a call.

I was just in there a couple of weeks ago and they have a sign on the door that says they will only reshape hats that are from them.
The website sure doesn't reflect that change.

That's a shame. I've gotten several hats from them and always had a good experience.
*sometimes. My husband was told he needs to send his back to Rand's to have it stretched and reshaped since it was custom from there. (It needs a bunch of stretching)
They are cleaning, stretching and reshaping a 30+ year old 20x Stetson for me that was a gift when I was 15 and working my first job as a wrangler. They didn't mention anything about the hat not being purchased there. Dropped it off last week.
In happier times I took a friend from Russia there. He was beside himself to be going home with a black ten gallon hat.

This doesn't need a full refurb. Just a good clean and reshape. Guess I'll try cavenders out give it a try myself. Kinda disappointed though. They do good work. They could charge a fee for non-catalena stuff and I'd gladly pay.
