Anyone know what's going on with this project? Gates have been closed for a month or so w/ no construction activity

I have noticed the same thing. From what I can tell it's been several months since any construction activity has taken place.
Could be several things, but my bet would be money. Either they ran out of money or waiting on money. That property is on a ground lease which doesn't fit into traditional financing. Hope they're getting lien waivers.
I worked for one of Schulman's movie theaters back in the 80s.
Probably ran out of $ and wants the city to bail them out just like they did with Wallace Phillips at Briarcrest and Big Shots
Maybe the Bryan city leaders wised up and decided that they should not be using public facilities and lands to support businesses that competes with the private sector?

lol--0% chance. Bryan has spent tens of millions to try and make themselves relevant. And somehow I trust and like them more than the city of CS who has spent tens of millions but with nothing to show for it but vacant buildings.

When I was a kid, we would go back to visit and Mrs. Schulman would let us have our pick of candy from the concession stand. We'd watch a movie while my parents and her visited.
