I have family with ADT. I love their mobile app and their cameras.

I'm considering what to get for our new house when we build it. So following this thread.

We went from ADT to Simplisafe and it was half the cost. We pay for monthly monitoring and self installed all the window, door, and motion sensors. Outdoor siren on both the front and back of the house.

If you register your email with Simplisafe, they will email you coupons and frequently all the hardware is 40% off. Their US based customer service and alarm response have both been very good.

I leveraged my existing me legacy system by adding konnected board with home assistant.
Monitoring is available at reasonable cost but i have multiple people that gets push messages and find commercial monitoring not necessary.
