I went to my nephews HS Graduation at Reed in 23, a month after a massive spinal surgery, they gave my wife a HC Placard for me, ours was the red temporary one that only lasted a few months, maybe 6 at most. I was shocked when we went to use it and park up front, the LEO asked for the tag, read my name then asked to see my ID. I was pleasantly surprised to see them so vigorously enforce the parking. I qualify, according to my neurosurgeon, for a permanent plate or tag due to my limitations but I can walk and move just fine, so I'll wait until which point I cannot, if that point ever comes. I won't feel right taking one of those spots when I know darn well I can walk fine.
