Does anyone have this? If so, what has your experience been like? Kid at the store claims they guarantee 300mps down, and he has heard of some folks getting up to 800mps down, but I'd like to hear from those who have actually tried it.

We just moved into Midtown Reserve, have been trying to get by with a T-Mobile hotspot since their home wifi isn't currently available for us (too many folks on these towers is what we were told), and have been less than impressed.

Starlink is a great option.

Have you tried Arrive? You are paying $300 for it in your HOA dues.

We are aware that we are subsidizing Arrive via the "infrastructure" fee in the HOA, but all reports we've heard are that their service is subpar, and when we called their office the speeds they quoted (128 Mbps for $120+/month) left us seeking a better solution, unless no other reliable options exist.

Do you have Arrive? If so, what has your experience been?

Yes, I have Arrive and constantly get 189 down and 19.5 up for $85/month. That is with 200 mbps. No issues and I have quite a bit connected.

However, I am not happy with the "infrastructure fee" and think we pay too much for it.

We have AT&T internet. Slowwwww as Christmas. Would love Starlink!

Midtown developer makes it impossible to get another provider. With the exception of Starlink, we are locked in for like 20 years to Arrive. Sucks.

That's disheartening. Guy at the store, of course, said folks in the area usually see around 400Mbps down. Biggest issue we are having now with T-mobile is it's a hotspot, so it drops packets a lot, has incredibly slow latency, and so site often time out and we will need to be able to support at least two separate video call streams at a time. Giving AT&T a shot, and if it doesn't work out may have to bite the bullet and go with Arrive's overpriced service. Can't believe they charge more for 200Mbps than MetroNet charges for gig service in town.

I'm not sure what you are hoping to find.? There is a Facebook group for Midtown and there is a whole discussion on it. I'd say 90% of the people have Arrive. Search for Midtown Reserve. It's a group that is administered by realtors. Who did you previously have?

I suspect you are not subsidizing arrive but the HOA. My arrive is like $103 for 200Mbs but I have no HOA involved.
Works fine, big upgrade over my old DSL. I also have Starlink at my other house and Arrive is better than that, but nothing else but Starlink worth considering here. Had ATT's fixed wireless before they moved it on 5G and renamed it. It worked fine but the CGNAT was crazy about moving addresses every few minutes, and you had to play script kiddie to get IPV6 working to have a stable address. Problem was error resolution. Had their modem fail, they outsource repair to the people that do DirectTV for them who have not access to ATT systems. They replaced the modem, but could never get the account moved to the new IMSI in replacement. They called their support center who had to call ATT account group who had to call ATT cellular management. They said they never can get everyone on the same page. Tech said disconnect and resubscribe and it would work again. I did the first part, and disconnected and went to starlink full time.

Well, okay then

We have a T-Mobile Gateway, a little router with only an AC cord. It does surprisingly well for I think $45/month. My wife streams Prime all night and though it needs resetting from time to time it mostly chugs along just fine.

Not every area would support it, and ours is listed as not able. But I think because we have it high on the second floor it gets a good signal.

Before moving in we were on Optimum at our old place, on a gig plan.

Got the AT&T router in today, and initial impressions are good. All our devices are connecting without issue, signal throughout the house is solid, and the speed tests to the router are consistently 300+Mbps down, with ~15Mbps up. Will see how Parents/Family Weekend impacts performance, to anticipate what heavy cellular traffic weekends will look like, but so far this seems like a solid solution to us.

My parents have it as a temporary solution at their rent house that doesn't have cable. It's cheaper than starlink do it was worth shot. If you can get good speeds at the location on a 5g phone then it should work well.

Thanks.

No contract, $65/month, and there are discounts available if you also have other services through AT&T.

AT&T stopped by and asked us to try it for a few days at no charge to see if we liked it. Concept is great, it's easy etc. They assured the download upload speeds would be adequate enough for our IP phone system. In the end they weren't so after a couple of days we pulled the plug. Would probably be perfect for residential but didnt trust it enough for commercial.

It's been working for us. With all the new construction going on around us, we have had to move the router to a spot that provides better access to the tower on WD Fitch, but once getting it moved haven't really had any issues. The speed is a little less than when we first set it up, thanks to a less clear line to the tower, but it is still consistently around 185MBps down, and around 18MBps up. Not what we would like, but speeds comparable to what is being reported by those with Arrive, and for less per month than we would pay for the Arrive fiber package.

I really wish we had options for Frontier or Metronet, as a 1GB fiber connection would be our preference, but this works for us to stream movies, conduct video calls, etc. until something better comes along. AT&T told me that they should be upgrading some of the towers in the area to 5G, and I'm hoping that includes the ones near Rock Prairie, as that would improve performance. As is, only the tower on Fitch supports 5G in our area.
