Went two years ago when Midland was there. Was awesome. Will go back when baby can be watched by in laws.
We've gone the past 2 years and will go again this year. We've always done the VIP and it is worth it. VIP get in an hour early, get special BBQ tastings at some tents, 2 free alcoholic beverages, a separate bar and area to sit in, T-shirt and bathroom trailers that are air conditioned. We really enjoy it and can't wait to see Shane Smith play again , this time as the headliner.
They offer student pricing with student ID but didn't specify whether that's limited to college students or any student with ID.
If you're getting the BBQ tickets and there are VIP available, the VIP tickets are totally worth the extra $$. The air conditioned bathrooms and free waters are enough to make it worthwhile. The separate VIP section is a bonus.

You started offering Music VIP tickets this year. I would absolutely love to do that, but with people coming in at the beginning and only buying BBQ-related tickets, there's not really a way to get those folks out once they're in. It'd be pretty easy to sneak around and stay in to see the shows. May 17th
The graphic in the OP says May 17. This is the third year for this event in Aggieland and it's always scheduled for the Saturday after graduation weekend. It gets talked about extensively every year. We always buy our tickets within the first hour sales are open so we get the best price.
