JUst received word that someone's planning on building a new RV/Mobile home park in Bryan. I thought the city wasn't allowing them in town anymore.

It's going to be in the north part of Bryan on Texas Avenue. Same side as neutral posture is, right past their building... about 4010 N. Tex Ave to be exact. Literally right across the street from my parents house, the church I grew up in, etc. I think this will lower property values.. Was wondering if there's anyway to protest...

I believe it is a rv resort/ park. They will also have glamping sites, pool, gym, and a small mini putt putt golf course. I also thought no mobile home parks can be built in city limits of Bryan or College Station. City ruled against that years ago. RV parks may be different?

Follow the money?

What's the zoning there and what are the conditional use permits?

@studioone I don't see this on the Bryan GIS maps or new developments. Where did you find it? They've changed the system around since I dabbled in this stuff.

How is developing an RV park going to lower property values in the area? I would think that the developers could make the same argument that the several run down mobile homes within a couple hundred yards of their property is having that effect all on their own.
That lot has been empty for years, providing ample opportunity for anyone to make an offer to buy it an turn it into whatever their hearts desire. It appears that somebody is doing just that. Good for them.

Agreed, and with COB's landscaping/ other building requirements I'd imagine that its going to be done decently well and not look like a dump.
