Just wondering how much they are going for these days. We have a 2500 sf, single story house.

What price should I expect?

Who is your recommendation?

Thanks

I got a quote from Southern Star Roofing and Seamless Gutters about 6 months ago for about $2200 for a 2500sqft single story. They did my neighbor's and were really nice when I talked to them. We haven't had any installed yet, but they will definitely get a call to come requote when we do.

Edit to say that I have no idea if that is low, high, or a good price as it's the only quote I've requested.

Just had gutters installed 6 weeks ago. Paid $2,200 for my 2,000 sf house.

I had gutters replaced on a rent house in early April. 1300sf house + 2 car garage and we were right at $1000. I suspect part of this was due to the roofer's connection but I thought it was a great deal.

I called around a couple of months ago and got some estimates. I was super impressed with Elevation Gutters. And, all their reviews were positive on Google.

They managed to get me on the schedule quickly, and I am happy with their work.

We even had that bad hail storm 2 days later. He arranged for someone to come check my roof, and he also came and checked the gutters.

They also did a repair on a section of gutter in the rear of the house that was installed by my builder incorrectly.

Used Brazos Valley Seamless Gutters a few years ago. Great experience. They seemed to be a little lower than the prices mentioned so far but it was 2-3 years ago.

What about gutter GUARDS? My gutters are in pretty good shape but I could use new gutter guards... any idea what those cost?

Thanks for all of the replies. Keep them coming.

So it sounds like I for sure need to call Southern Star, Elevation and BV Seamless for some quotes

Just curious, since you mentioned 1300ft2 house, what's a roof job been running on that size house in CS, ballpark. Rent house (Stylecraft). 27 squares if I remember correctly.

Roof cost about $10,500 for 27.5 squares of mid-grade shingles and the addition of 2 vents. With the gutters and some extra replacement of rotten undercarriage and fascia it was about ~$12K all-in.

Honestly don't know. It was a hook up and handled by the roofer and at $1,000 - it was cheap enough to save me going to find my own bids.

Roofer was Spire Roofing (Ask for Shea)

My husband said it would be 10,500-15,000 for a straight cash bid (no insurance claim) depending on a multitude of factors from waste percentage, brand, class, grade of shingle, height and steepness of the facets, any accessories and upgrades, etc... based on the 27 squares you said.

I used Elevation Gutters for some work on tall downspouts on my barndominium.

Their crew was outstanding and I was very pleased with their work.

I don't know how they compare price wise to standard gutters on a home, but I know they're big on quality and doing it the right way.

Roofers installing today and they did not get the barrier up before the short downpour around noon. Water got on interior of windows, water spots on interior drywall, etc. Does the roofer's insurance cover this?

Assuming you used a reputable roofer- yes. They should have liability insurance for this (though you see a lot of "pop up" type companies after big storms that may or nay not have liability/umbrella insurance in place to cover their 1099 crews. Call their office and notify them. If it was just the roofing crew there, they may not have notified the office that something happened.

Maybe, is the short answer. It depends on how they are set up and if they are insured, and what the contract states.

You'll need to notify your PM and the main office to get the ball rolling on it. Generally, the roofing company sub contracts to installers who also own their own companies. So, in this case, the roofing company you signed with may ping the crew to open a claim and get them to cover it. If that crew doesn't have insurance, then hopefully the roofing company does and they will have to do something. You will need to stay on this and get answers quickly.

Start documenting everything now. Did the PM show up to the job at all? Did he check the weather prior to install? Did he watch the weather like a hawk while his customer's roof was open? Did he communicate with you well?

If you don't get anywhere with it, PM me. There is a chance I can get a contact for the company you used to encourage things. This industry is small, and get's even smaller the longer you are in it.

27 squares, single story, no steep slopes - $13,500 for architectural Class III with synthetic accoutrements and proper hip and ridge shingles.

Gutters $10/LF for 5" give or take depending on who you use, more for 6", don't forget to include downspouts. estimating cost based on house square footage isn't always accurate.

Gutter screens $5-$22/LF depending on how fancy you want....plastic vs steel, coarse or fine, oak or pine needle protection...that sort of thing.

Just had Elevation come out and give me a quote on new gutters. Was a bit of sticker a shock. Guess I'll get a couple of these other recs out to quote as well

They were $150 to $200 more than another quote I had received, but Elevation uses a bigger gutter than what my builder had installed on a very small section, and bigger than what would have been used in another quote.

I was more impressed with their work (someone else in my neighborhood had their gutters, and he showed me their house and the difference). And, his timeframe for install was sooner. So, I paid the slightly higher price.

I also looked on Google, and I don't think he had a single negative review.
