Is there anyone in-town or nearby that does fishing reel repairs? On my Daiwa coastal, I think I have a pinion gear or a spring that needs to be replaced but I need a confirmation from someone who has more knowledge in troubleshooting. Would prefer not to have to drive all the way to FTU or somewhere in Houston to drop it off.

Side note: Did you know there is a famous guy that lives in town that used to manufacture fishing rods? Last time I talked to him, he was selling electric golf carts near Towerpoint.

I think the name of the rod was All Star.
