Looking for anyone in the area familiar with this? I have an appointment next week but that's a long time right now.

At home version (with someone assisting), was very helpful.
First done in a clinic, they said complete relief is often not achieved with one try, hence the followup at home. It worked for me.

Any ENT office. Also, Dr. Lindsey Roberson at the St. Joseph Dizzy and Balance Therapy office is amazing! https://www.commonspirit.org/find-a-location/dizzy-and-balance-therapy-at-st-joseph-health-college-station-tx-1820

Thanks. Tried it at home and it didn't go too well. Sat up and dang near ripped the bed post off trying to hold on when the world fell off it's axis.

I'm scheduled with Lindsey on Wednesday. Seen her in the past and she's great. Just going to be a long week.

My wife had a severe case of vertigo last year. I tried to get her to try the maneuver for 3 days before she finally did. First time helped a little and the second time cleared the stones from her nerves in her ears and she was back to normal by the next day. She wished she had tried the maneuver sooner as she was miserable for the 3 days. I was a little miserable as well because it was like taking care of a drunk person for 72 hours strait. She couldn't even walk from the bed to bathroom without assistance.

That's a new one, watched some you tube videos. Sounds like an awful condition

I watched a few YouTubes and did it myself last year.

Ive been battling persistant vestibular problems since a botched sinus surgery in 2018. Gets better and worse almost daily but most of the time it's manageable.

First time dealing with vertigo was this morning when I rolled over in bed. Only barfed once. Little better after that but I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy.

I got it bad like this in 2002 due to an ear inflection. I was throwing up; couldn't drive for days.

Problem is, once you get jt, you're prone to always have a recurrence. Thats true, but not as bad.

Get some Dramamine. Do the move to reset the crystals.

Did yours clear right up once it stopped?

Had someone else do the epley today. The wild swings are gone but I still can't do much. Just very unsteady.

I'm supposed to be driving the family to Universal in Florida in a few weeks. Had already planned to sit out a lot of the rides but going to feel terrible if I have to cancel on the kids. I don't think I could make it to the end of the street right now.

Thanks everyone for the help!

It was several (7-8) years ago, I seem to recall doing it at home 3-4 times, before it completely cleared up.
I don't think you can do it "wrong", but the most relief came from careful timing, and correct and deliberate head movement.
One of those things I'm glad I'm not an expert at practicing, sincerely hope you get some needed relief.

I feel for you!
My wife had life altering Vertigo. Literally was crawling from the bed to bathroom at times

Dr. taught her the Hall Pike maneuver which sounds like what you're doing. She felt miserable doing it but persisted.
Took about 6 weeks but slowly got better and she fully recovered.

Some say riding a roller coaster will reset the inner ear crystals.
