Grandkids are in town. Does anyone know if the band is practicing outdoors and if so what time?

Ok. I knew FOW started next week but had heard the band might start 2 weeks before classes.

(Note I edited the original post to add some details.)

FOW for BQs starts tomorrow. (The rest of the Corps fish report Saturday.) fish will be on the practice field Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings starting at around 7:00 for a few hours but all you're going to be watching is fish formed up by section and learning how to march. If your Grandkids are still in town there will be a full band rehearsal Sunday evening from 7-9pm and then every morning next week at 7:00am again.

The following Saturday (23rd) is fish Review. They'll form up and march from the Quad to Simpson that morning for their first review. This is the culmination of FOW.

And of course the 30th is the first game, BTHO UTSA!

You can catch Aggie Band rehearsal most any weekday morning around 7:00-7:30... and Saturday AM before games once the season begins. Fridays and Saturdays are the best days because they have the show complete and are just polishing it by that point.

Note: morning rehearsals start at 7:00 but they often start in the band hall working on music, and then fall out to the drill field 30-60 minutes later. I have no idea what the plan or schedule is for FOW in that regard , but during the year that's how morning rehearsal typically works.

The safe bet is park in the (edit not Central Campus garage....) University Center Garage across from Rudder, it's a short walk from there.

Or...some people navigate into the parking lot right by the practice field and find a spot as close as possible to the drill field. You should be fine there first thing in the morning but... if you're staying later (past 9:00 or so) that might be another story. Generally they are pretty lax for practice spectators but YMMV, no guarantees from me.... at your own risk etc....

If you are going to watch and listen, there is a lot of free street parking about a block or two from the practice site in the southgate area,
