Did we hire some Yankee architectural firm that had never seen a pickup truck in Texas to design this parking garage? Which garage is this? And was there not a cross bar at the entry to deny anything too tall?
This video clip does show on-the-spot ingenuity and teamwork to get this truck out, allegedly after a graduation.
Looks like everyone enjoyed helping out. All good bull
(Everyone can forego the "let the air out of the tires" advice. It was covered in the comments.

Honestly surprised this doesn't happen more often. Houston also has lotsa parking garages that seem to have really low clearance

It happens all the time. Gotta know your lift and use your brain ….there probably was a bar and the driver hit it and kept on going. You think he figured out this issue on exit by luck ?

I've been in the garages by Reed, the old Cain location, Northside, and the Central/Koldus garage in my Raptor. It's 6' 8" and I had no issues.

Pretty sure that's the Southside garage. I think it probably has the lowest clearance of any garage on campus.

Funny thing I remember was seeing a lifted* truck, belonging to a student, with a NSG parking tag, parked in lot 49 (the one just off Stotzer, just west of the RR tracks) for an entire academic year. I'm guessing Junior's parents bought him a garage pass, not thinking about clearance. What I don't understand is why they didn't send him to Transportation to get a surface lot pass and save some money.

*Said truck was lifted so high that the fog lamps and headlights were above the max heights in the Transportation Code.(30" and 54", max, respectively)

This happens at least once every football game. Someone shows up with a truck loaded down with people/tailgating gear then goes back to get their truck after the game alone. The difference in weight is enough to make them scrape their roof. And yes, there are bars indicating the height of the garage. Loading down with as many people as possible usually does the trick, but occasionally the air does have to be let out of the tires.

Callaway House is 6'2" on their bar.

Cain garage can accommodate an F250 leveled on 37s all the way to the roof.

I'm pretty sure this is the Koldus garage. Yes it has a bar. I have an f150, not lifted and I'm always nervous. My antenna will hit the roof going in.

A garage that won't fit an F150, the most sold vehicle in the US, is wild.

Especially in the heart of Texas.

That's not an F-150.

And people put blue stars on that post?

Stock 2022 F250 FX4 will NOT fit in Koldus/Central garage. The front half of the cab will fit, the rear is taller and will not fit past the entrance

All the new garages fit taller trucks with no issue

If they make the ceilings taller the concrete has that much further to fall.

Wait, what?

Ok, I guess it's the "F series trucks" that have been the most sold for years in the US, not specifically the F150. My apologies.

Just because it is an F series truck, that doesn't mean it's an F150.
F150
F250
F350
All F series...all different trucks.

An F150 is a standard half ton and easily fits in any garage in town unless it's lifted. Saying a garage that "won't fit an F150, the most sold vehicle in the US, is wild" isn't accurate.

The truck in that video is not an F150. It's either a 250 or 350. From the looks of the hub it's an F250. And it's an Fx4 which means it sits even higher. If you look at the tailgate, it says Super Duty.....that is a package is only available on 3/4 ton or larger trucks
That looks like an Fx4 that has been leveled so it sits higher.

The truck that we usually take to games is an F250 that is 4wd and it fits in all of the garages on campus.

My point isn't to be sarcastic. My point is that the issue that truck is having isn't common with most trucks on campus.

That is correct. The UCG/Koldus has a clearance of 6'7". The garage by the library is 6'8". Swb F250 by spec will fit in that garage but the LWB will not. The rest of the garages are at least 84 inches

The Raptor won't fit in either of those garages either according to Ford

Chill out.

My comment was specifically in reference to Callaway house garage being 6'2", which is why I quoted that post when I replied. I believe current F150s are about 6'3"-6'5".

The truck in OPs video is clearly an F250/F350.

My last three vehicles have been an '18 F250, '20 F250, and currently a '21 F150. Plenty familiar with Ford trucks.
