Hi Ags--brand new to the college station area (it is great to be back in Aggieland) for work. Can anyone help me out with finding a cleaning lady/person? Any help would be appreciated!

I used this guy Adam last month who was recommended to me by a co-agent. He did a great job on my place. Far better than anybody else I've used in the past from independent people to expensive companies.

Reasonably priced and very friendly as well. 979-595-3905. I'm using him again next week as a matter of fact.

What's the general cost per hour for a cleaning person nowadays? I'm on the verge of hiring one.

Im looking around. My house is small (1300sf) and they are wanting $200+ per month, with a one time clean of $300-450.

I had mine come over, look at the house, and I asked her "What would you like to be paid?" It's been working well for over a decade.

Hopefully, she said, " One billion dollars."

Nope. Perfectly reasonable and honest figure. It was a good transaction.

Cleanly Touch does a good job for a fair price (compared to the others we reached out to)

I was curious about rates so I found this:

Looks steep for regular cleaning. A few years ago my brother and sister-in-law, in College Station, were paying some lady $70-80 for the day to come in once per week. I need to check if they still have her. I was figuring $120-$150 once per week.

For the whole day? I think I need an "individual contractor"!

Do my figures seem high at $120-150 for a day?

I have a friend who manages a group of CNA's who take care of elderly in their homes. Usually 8 hour shifts. They are getting paid around $17 per hour. I figure a maid can't be more valuable than them, so probably $120 once a week sounds very reasonable to me.

I've gotten quotes for 2-3 hours for that amount.
