Have been happy with Daniella Mittan, I understand the Crumpler issues.
Not sure taking patients currently but call and ask. Slightly unconventional, does not do credit cards, takes checks for copay's but not a big deal to me. Small practice, just her and one admin. Lo tech, no portal, paper forms before first visit, hand visit notes, but no incessant emails like I get from other big group practices, and don't have to register for appointments from any app.
She will discuss any issue you are having at any depth you desire. Am never rushed, has recommend strategies for my wife about issues I mentioned. Have several other engineer friends who see her and all like her. She even will review the charts one produces from his historic lab data and other sampled data for him.
Maybe I'm weird but she is of of the few MD's I see that I would say is my doctor. Most are Just who the Borg medical establishment has me assigned to currently.
I second Dr. Daniella Mittan. She's amazing. My husband's doctor referred him to her when he diagnosed my husband with Grave's disease (hyperthyroidism). Other endocrinologists would have insisted on surgery or radiation, which would have meant he had to take Synthroid forever. She was willing to try a more conservative approach first (a pill with a long name that makes the thyroid less active since his was overactive). Dosage gradually got reduced to nothing and thyroid levels are normal. After a certain amount of time, it was considered in remission. Because of her, he still has his thyroid, and he doesn't have to take pills for it anymore. He has to get his thyroid levels tested from time to time, and if it acts up again, she probably can't do the same treatment, but so far so good, and it's been about 11 or 12 years since he was diagnosed; I don't remember how long since his Grave's disease went into remission, but it's been several years.
She's a doctor who listens to the patient and doesn't rush them out.
Her very basic website is www.mittanmedical.com and her office is at 1605 Rock Prairie Ed., Suite 301. As the other poster mentioned, you need to pay by cash or check. If you have a FSA or HSA card, pay her yourself and then fill out the paperwork to get reimbursed by your FSA/HSA.
