We are looking to move somewhere a bit more rural, likely outside College Station city limits, but our child is a junior at A&M Consolidated High School and has been in CSISD since kindergarten. We would really like to keep them in their current school for the last two years. Has anyone here gone through this and were you able to keep your student enrolled after moving? Any advice or pitfalls to watch out for would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't do it until they are a few months into their senior year. Too much potential for it to blow up in your face especially if they are in athletics. If they are taking play time away from another kid or are so dominate that another team would like to see them gone, it will get reported and nasty.

yeah, I'd wait until after they've started their senior year. sell it in the spring.

Is there already a specific location that you are looking to move to, or are you open to anywhere outside of town? If the latter, check the current Consol zoning map. There are plenty of rural areas outside of CS city limits that are still zoned for Consol. Both southwest and southeast of town.

There's an intermediate school and an elementary school missing.

As far as I can tell, yes, this is the most recent map. It only shows the zoning for the high schools.
