I made a last minute trip to college station last year, only thing available was La Quinta on Texas, I thought how bad can it be…I've stayed in some pretty questionable places in my younger days. That place should have been condemned years ago, absolutely aweful and I can't believe that La Quinta was still affiliated with it. That place is not savable.

I also stay there for a football weekend last year because I couldn't find anything else. It was shocking how bad that place was. As stated above no way to save that dump. Bulldoze and start over.

That and the Dennys, and the empty On the Border, leave a lot of potential on the table, so to speak.
Whoever owns the U-Haul corner lot has got to be just waiting for an incredible offer on that spot.
Dennys is just hanging on for life. (I would guess.)

I met Chuck Norris in that Denny's several years ago.

You see Chuck around town once is a while in restaurants. He is also at a lot of the Anderson School functions as I think one of his grandchildren is in the same grade as one of my grandsons,

With the number of students and faculty/staff coming and going in the area, I suspect that UHaul one acre location is a cash-cow for the owner,...real estate paid for, low overhead, perfect location, land value probably going up 25% or more annually, The lease on the restaurant/pad behind probably pays for all the property taxes and insurance,

Yes. The Radley is apparently the name for it.
That will be an improvement, but I would have just torn it down and started new. That building is trash.
The real estate arm of UHaul owns the Uhaul property
