Have you seen any Post Oaks making acorns this year? I want to start a couple of Post Oak trees from acorns.

I drive county roads on East and Northeast side of Brazos County and have not seen any this year.

I don't know if it's a Post Oak, but whatever kind of oak is in my backyard offloads enough acorns to have my porch and yard look like a ball pit each morning.

I have a billion acorns in my lawn from live oaks and post oaks. Like walking on hundreds of boxes of Captain Crunch in some places.

I would love to have a Captain Crunch tree....I'd never leave the back yard.

Those little b@st@rds are falling on my metal roof every 20 minutes. Well-established trees are producing well.
Walk softly and carry a big stick! Make sure the big stick makes big boom noises and flashy bright lights.

Just looked at a bunch of post oaks out by Somerville. Not a single acorn on any of them. Same trees have been loaded the last two years. Guess they're trying to recoup.

I do my walks around campus and found some good acorn spots for you or others!
Academic Plaza - trees to the right of the front of the building, moving south from Century Tree
Sanders Corps Center - trees on the west side of the building, facing Aggie Park
Aggie Park - big tree on the east side of the pond, at the end of the Plank Bridge
Jon Hagler, Foundation building - trees near their fountain off Houston Street
Happy fall y'all
