I'm looking for the power of TexAgs to help a couple of baseball teams find an open space for spring practices. It doesn't have to be an actual baseball field, just an area big enough and smooth enough to do some throwing and fielding drills.

With little league starting soon field space is very limited, so I'm trying to look outside the normal places. We're also trying to keep the cost low, so I'm thinking maybe an open church space or a City park.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

There is a large open field that used to be a baseball diamond at Hensel Park, behind the play equipment.

There's a large open space next to Pebble Creek Elementary that I see teams practicing on regularly. Don't know if it's controlled for use.

My son's flag football team practiced at Edelweiss Park. There is a lot of space.

I was thinking about this spot actually. I'm pretty sure it's a joint use park that is open to the public after school hours.

Anyone know of any other schools that might do this as well?

Jack and Dorthy Miller Park next to Rock Prairie elementary never has anyone at the backstops. People use the soccer field but not the fields further back.

Once Little League practices start there are always teams utilizing the two backstops at the park area by Rock Prairie Elementary. (I see it every year as we live just two blocks from it). It's usually the small/beginning kids (T-ball maybe?)

If you just need space, there never seems to be anyone at Anderson park on corner of Anderson and Holloman.
